We are currently looking for Trainee Line Mechanics to join our team in Hastings. These are permanent full-time roles with guaranteed fortnightly pay in a stable and supportive environment.

What you'll do:

• Assist registered Line Mechanics to repair and restore lines, cables and equipment.

• Undertake appropriate education and experience to be able to install new equipment and services on both overhead lines and underground cables.

• Work in close contact with customers and the public, remaining courteous and helpful at all times. 

• Work in a team environment to actively support fellow team members.

• Complete documentation relevant to the performance of duties

• Are physically fit, like working outdoors, able to work at heights and enjoy working as part of a team.

• Have a minimum four years secondary school, with NCEA passes in Maths and English.

• Ideally have a full, clean drivers licence.

• Are a motivated, hardworking individual with a positive attitude

Interview and Selection Process:

• A face to face interview, where we dive into your skills, experiences, and what you could add to the team.

• Successful applicants will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment (including drug and alcohol test) and physical assessment.
