This is an exciting opportunity to take your existing electrical knowledge and apply it in a specialist industry. Whether your background is residential, commercial or industrial, we'll provide the training, mentoring and hands-on experience to help you develop your expertise in distribution and substation electrical work.

Distribution electrical work offers a unique opportunity to work on critical infrastructure, including substations, network equipment, temporary generation systems, reclosers, sectionalisers and other specialist assets that keep electricity flowing to thousands of customers every day.

No two days are the same. You'll be involved in a broad range of activities including construction, maintenance, testing, commissioning and fault response work across the electricity network. Working alongside experienced technicians, electricians and line mechanics, you'll gain exposure to assets and technologies rarely encountered in traditional electrical roles.

What we're looking for

• Registered Electrician with a current New Zealand practising licence

• Strong commitment to health, safety and wellbeing

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Current driver's licence

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, hands-on environment

• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills

• Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service
