The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Designer to deliver high-quality network and customer project designs (400V, 11kV, 33kV). This role combines technical design, field planning, and collaboration to ensure safe, compliant, and buildable solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Design electrical network and customer projects
  • Carry out site walkovers and project planning
  • Produce CAD designs (Bentley MicroStation or similar)
  • Prepare technical specifications and documentation
  • Work closely with Project Managers and construction teams
  • Liaise with councils, utilities, and stakeholders
  • Support easements and property access processes
  • Provide technical support through to project delivery

What you'll bring

  • Qualification in electrical or telecommunications
  • 5-7 years' industry experience (construction exposure preferred)
  • Experience with CAD/design tools
  • Strong understanding of safety, compliance, and standards

Bonus points for:

  • Electrical registration (Electrician, Inspector, or Lineman)
  • Experience in electrical distribution design
  • Knowledge of NZ regulations and codes
