Lines Field Leader

  • project management ·

  • power line audits, and power line upgrades ·

  • directional drilling
  • trenching
  • traffic management

In addition, UCSL has entered into a multi-year agreement with Powerco to help deliver its network programme.

UCSL has established permanent capacity in Tauranga to efficiently meet the scope of work covering maintenance, renewal, and development work on Powerco's electricity network in Tauranga.

The Key Responsibilities of the Lines Field Leader - Tauranga are:

Scheduling and Coordination

  • Responsible for the allocation of, staff, plant and equipment. Ensure work is planned, scheduled and visible to crews. Report utilisation and efficiency levels.

  • Lead designated staff to provide a safe and efficient service for all field work in accordance with Unison requirements.
  • Critical defect.
  • Scheduling and staffing auxiliary work.
  • Ensuring project work is staffed, commenced, undertaken and completed to time, cost & quality requirements.
  • Fault response work, where applicable.

  • Actively engage in development of project methodologies and pre-site project walkovers.
  • Complete documented worksite observations and ensure best practice in all aspects of project delivery.
  • Actively participate in post project review and close out.
  • Provide feedback to various parties both internal and external with the objective of achieving continuous improvement, innovation and risk management.
  • Undertake other responsibilities as reasonably required from time to time to meet the demands of the business.

For this role your will need to have,

  • Current Electrical Practising Licence.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Power System construction.
  • Relevant Leadership Experience 2-5 years

Proven ability to lead, develop, mentor and manage people.

Knowledge of relevant acts, regulations and codes of practice
