STMS Field Leader

We're looking for an experienced STMS Field Leader to join our Civils team based in Hastings. This is a hands‑on leadership role, with a mix of field and office work (around 70% field based).

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading and supervising STMS and TMO crews across civil worksites
  • Explaining and enforcing site‑specific traffic management plans
  • Monitoring attended and unattended sites for CoPTTM compliance
  • Completing site audits, observations and post‑job reviews
  • Working closely with the TTM Coordinator to keep plans and documentation up to date
  • Building strong working relationships with RCAs and internal stakeholders
  • Coaching, training and developing staff, including providing clear feedback on risks and non‑compliances
  • Acting as the STMS subject matter expert across UCSL

What you'll bring:

  • STMS Level 1 and Traffic Controller Level 1
  • At least 3 years' experience in traffic control and STMS duties
  • Proven people leadership experience
  • Strong working knowledge of CoPTTM
  • Full and clean Class 1 licence (Class 2 an advantage)
  • Confidence dealing with RCAs and leading teams in the field
  • Solid computer skills (Excel and Word)

Trainer, assessor or RapidPlan experience is a bonus but not essential.
