Electrical Technician

We are currently looking for Electrical Technicians to join our team in Hastings. These are permanent full-time roles with guaranteed fortnightly pay in a stable and supportive environment.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure effective operation of the Ripple system

  • Support operation of the SCADA system

  • SEL relay testing and panel wiring

  • Maintain the Telcon and Pilot Wire communications cable systems

  • Maintain and repair Zone Substation equipment

  • Assist with Phase Rotation

  • Undertake High Voltage Phase testing, Cable Fault Location and Cable testing

  • Maintain Power System recording and the Cyclo Transmitter

  • Provide input as appropriate to the design, planning and construction of allocated tasks.

  • Complete documentation relevant to the performance of duties.


This is a great opportunity if you:

  • Have an Electrical Trade and Advanced Trade Certificate and Electrical Registration with a current a Practising Licence

  • Have a minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified electrician, preferably in the electrical distribution industry or with an industrial electrical background

  • Have protection, SEL relay testing and panel wiring experience

  • Test room experience

  • Can work with a minimum of supervision.

  • Are able to read plans/instructions and work as a team.

  • Are a motivated, hardworking individual with a positive attitude
