We are looking for a Designer to join our team in Hastings.

Purpose of position:

• Design network and customer related projects (at 400V, 11kV & 33kV voltage levels-excluding substations) to ensure the orderly development of reticulation, optimum system reliability, security and the appropriate standards and statutory/regulatory requirements are met.

What you'll do:

• Perform planning and design of projects for reliability, security and quality of supply
• Prepare technical specifications for contract works, including pricing
• Liaise with Supervisors/Planners
• Adhere to compliance with health & safety, technical, environmental and regulatory requirements
• Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships with internal and external customers
• Ensure work meets quality and price criteria

This is a great opportunity if you have:

• An appropriate qualification from the Electrical or telecommunication industry.
• Electrical Distribution or Electrical Design experience (minimum 3 years)
• Knowledge of relevant acts, regulations and codes of practice
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and offer solutions
• A solid understanding around design & construction standards.
• Team focus with the ability to work independently as required
• Are a motivated, hardworking individual with a positive attitude
