The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer ready to lead high-impact infrastructure projects? Join our Hastings-based team as a Project Engineer and help shape the future of energy delivery.
You'll lead the design and execution of specialist projects - primarily high-voltage substation upgrades - managing all phases from concept to completion. You'll also provide expert engineering guidance across the Unison Group.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Lead the full lifecycle of specialist projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards, budgets, and timelines.
- Provide engineering input to optimise project scopes and develop business cases.
- Ensure network reliability and security of supply outcomes are optimised through innovative and compliant designs.
- Ensure Unison's secondary control and protection systems are designed, installed, and tested to the required level to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
What We Are Looking For:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering (required); project management qualifications are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in power system construction and project management.
- Proven expertise in high-voltage substation design and protection schemes.
- Familiarity with CAD systems and multidisciplinary project environments is advantageous.
- Knowledge of relevant industry acts, regulations and codes of practice.
