The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Hastings-based team as a SCADA Systems Engineer. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
The prime function of the SCADA Systems Engineer is to:
- Assist with the Administration of Distribution Management System
- Maintain operation of Intelligent Electronic Devices on the network
- Proficiency in data analytics to identify and address trends
- Experience with strategy development based on data insights
- Knowledge of automation tools and techniques
- Ability to improve and streamline manual tasks
Key Responsibilities include:
- Maintain High Operational Readiness of Intelligent Electronic Devices
- Capability to understand, operate, and configure technical devices
- Understanding of telecommunications systems and operations
- Proficient in network model management and GIS systems.
- Capable of device mapping with thorough knowledge of SCADA protocol implementation.
- Develop, test, and enable code for system enhancements.
What We Are Looking For:
- You will hold a tertiary level Engineering qualification.
- You will have a minimum of 2-5 years' experience administering SCADA systems.
You may also have the following experience:
- 2 - 5 years database querying
- 2 - 5 years coding applications (C#, Python, R, Excel, DAX, Power Query, VBA)
- 2 - 5 years Communication networks (QAM, IP/Ethernet, Serial)
