System Outage Specialist

An exciting opportunity has become available for a System Outage Specialist to join out Networks & Operations team. In this role, you will coordinate network outages to ensure projects are progressed in a safe and timely manner. You will learn to write and check switching applications. You will gain the experience and competency to step in as a Network Control Operator as required.
The Key Responsibilities for this position include:
- Develop competency with Unison and Centralines planned outage process
- Process switching applications for planned network outages
- Ensure all outage protocols and standards are adhered to
- Writing and checking switching instructions.
- Liaise with contractors to minimise outage times and customer impact
- Develop competency to carry out duties of a Network Control Operator
The Key Training & Experience required for this position includes:
- Electrical Registration
- Minimum 5 years' experience in electricity distribution.
